Compress Photos Library Mac After Deleting Files Free

Hey everyone,
I have an issue with my iPhoto library size and I'm hoping someone can help me. I am trying to give my Mac a 'diet' so to speak - I'm working through eliminating all languages I don't speak from apps and have gotten rid of all printer drivers I don't use. That said, I want to trim down my iPhoto library as well without deleting any of my pictures. As it stands right now, my iPhoto library is just shy of 10GB and I was wondering if there is anything I can do to compress it or if I can delete any folders that are safe to remove.
Thanks in advance!

This is the method we use, and we recommend it for anyone who wants permanent access and isn't worried about accidentally modifying or deleting a file from the Library folder. Rebuild photos library mac os. Mac show library directory. 2020-4-5  In the list of files on the right, scroll down and look for your iPhoto library – it’ll be a little iPhoto icon, and the name will read, unsurprisingly, iPhoto Library. Don’t worry about accidentally deleting your Photo Booth or Photos libraries; you’ll be able to see which one is which.
